Dental Implants in Boca del Río, Planned with 3D Imaging
Implant planning with a CBCT scan taken in our own imaging center, and crowns designed in our in-house dental lab.

What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a small post, usually titanium, placed in the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Once it fuses with the bone, a crown, bridge or denture is attached to it.
How we plan an implant at SAGA
- Clinical evaluation: we check the area, your gums, your bite and your overall health.
- 3D CBCT scan: in our imaging center we measure the bone and locate structures such as the nerve in the lower jaw or the sinus. See CBCT for implant planning.
- Treatment plan: the number, position and type of implants, and whether extra procedures are needed.
- Implant placement.
- Healing: the implant needs time to fuse with the bone — usually several months.
- Restoration: your crown or prosthesis is designed in our digital dental lab and attached to the implant. See zirconia crowns.
- Follow-up.
Who can get implants?
Many people who have lost one or more teeth can get implants, but every case is evaluated: bone volume, gum health, some medical conditions and habits such as smoking all matter. The exam and the CBCT scan show whether implants are possible and which steps are needed.
Traveling for implants?
Because the bone needs months to heal, implant treatment usually takes more than one trip. Send us your X-rays or scans on WhatsApp before you book flights, and after your evaluation we'll give you an estimated timeline. See dental care for visitors from the U.S.
FAQ
Dental implant FAQ
How long does treatment take?
It depends on the case. Besides the surgery, the implant usually needs several months to fuse with the bone before the final crown goes on. After your evaluation we give you a plan with estimated timing.
What is implant surgery like?
It's done under local anesthesia. Afterward there may be some discomfort or swelling, managed with the instructions and any medication your dentist prescribes.
Do I need a CBCT scan?
It's very common in implant planning because it measures the bone in 3D. We take it in the same building.
How much does an implant cost?
It depends on the number of implants, the type of restoration and whether extra procedures are needed. After the evaluation we give you a plan with its cost.
