What is Exocad?
Exocad DentalCAD is dental design software used by labs in many countries. It lets us design crowns, bridges and other restorations on the patient's scan, controlling the shape, material thickness, contacts with neighboring teeth and how the restoration meets the bite.
What we design
- Crowns and bridges — for example, in zirconia.
- Implant restorations, depending on the system and the case.
- Temporaries — for example, in PMMA.
- Models for 3D printing.
Why design digitally?
- The design can be reviewed before anything is made.
- Measurements such as minimum material thickness and cement space are controlled.
- The file is saved and can be reused.
